About Chopstix Asian Kitchen
Chopstix Asian Kitchen is a second-generation, family-run restaurant
located in northern St. Louis County, Missouri. Ownership is made of sisters Laura, Christina
and Salina O'Brien, as well as Salina's husband Louis Erby and Christina’s husband
Devon Burk. They have been in business for over three years and have more than 20 years
of restaurant industry experience. At Chopstix, their goal is to provide our customers
with delicious authentic Chinese food and superior customer service in a unique dining environment.
Our Family and Heritage
Laura, Salina and Christina were raised in a restaurant-owning family. The sisters grew
up each learning a different aspect of the business at the restaurants run by their
mother Alice and aunt Sina. One of the family restaurants, Chu's China Gate, was
among the first Chinese restaurants in University City. To this day, Chopstix counts
among its regular customers some of the old, loyal employees from Chu's.
After coming to adulthood and moving in different directions away from the restaurant business,
2008 seemed like the perfect time and opportunity to rekindle the old business. The sisters
brought back together their varying talents to open Chopstix in April of 2008.
Special Dietary Needs
Chopstix Asian Kitchen is proud to be able to offer some of the freshest
and healthiest meal options in town. Their produce and meats are purchased from
locally owned businesses and they make every effort to meet their customer’s dietary
needs. Because nothing is cooked until the order is taken, they can customize your meal whether
you require a low sodium, low fat, low carb or low
calorie diet. They are also proud to announce that
they offer several gluten free items on their menu. Please be sure to discuss
your needs before you order or feel free to call ahead.
